Day 1: Ban Prang – Ban Nam Khouy-Approx. 4-5 hours
At 9:00 AM, meet your tour guide for a briefing and departure from your hotel or office. Begin with a visit to the morning market for food supplies, then proceed to Khmu villages along the main road to explore the culture and traditions of the Khmu minority in Ban Prang. Walk through the village with your guide, who will provide insights into Khmu life. Start your hike from Ban Prang to Ban Nam Khouy, ascending the mountain and enjoying the natural beauty of Nam Ha NPA. Along the way, gather edible plants for a picnic lunch cooked using jungle methods like banana leaves and bamboo pipes. By around 3:00 PM, reach the Lahu minority village, where you can explore, enjoy scenic viewpoints, and learn about Lahu culture and traditions.
Note: Basic amenities such as toilets are not available; bathing is done in a nearby stream.
Day 2: Ban Nam Khouy – Ban Prang–Approx. 4-5 hours
After breakfast with tea or coffee, venture back into the primary forest to further explore the natural wonders of Nam Ha NPA. Stop occasionally to gather edible plants, learn about herbs and animals, and acquire jungle survival skills. Lunch will be prepared on the trek using jungle cooking methods. Afterwards, enjoy an easy two-hour downhill walk back to Ban Prang, where your driver will await to shuttle the group back to Luang Namtha.
