Pakse is 'mouth of the river' is the capital and most populous city of the southern Laotian province of Champasak, and the second most populous city in Laos. Located at the confluence of the Xe Don and Mekong Rivers, it has a population of about 95,000. Pakse was the capital of the Kingdom of Champasak until it was unified with the rest of Laos in 1946. The French established an administrative outpost in Pakse in 1905. The city was the capital of the Lao Kingdom of Champasak until 1946 when the Kingdom of Laos was formed. After the Franco-Thai war the French ceded Preah Vihear Province, formerly belonging to the Cambodia, as well as the part of Champasak Province located on the other side of the Mekong river from Pakse, which had been part of Laos, to Thailand.

Day 1 : Vientiane / Pakse

The Journey Between Vientiane and Pakse Takes About 11 Hours (in Bus). Pending the Best Choice for You and According to Rour Needs We Can Arrange a Day or Night Bus, all in One Leg or with Various Stops Along the Route or Direct Flight (1h).Overnight in Pakse.

Day 2 : Pakse / Champasak

Bike Ride to Nearby Phou Malong, a Magnificent Mountain of Laos. Then We Will Do a Hiking Towards Wat Phu, a Charming Temple Pre-angkorian Style Located in the Forest. The Ruins Date Mainly from the Tenth and Eleventh Centuries, But the Initial Part is Dated Back to Fifth Century and Occupies An Imposing Site.,    Superb Carved Lintels Show the Images of the Gods Vishnu, Siva and Bramna Which are Still Intact Till Today.,    Night in Champasak.

Day 3 : Champasak / Khong Island

Here We are Arriving in the Area of Si Phan Don (or the 4000 Islands in Laos). This Archipelago is Composed of Beautiful Small Islands Where the Peace is Easy. Today We Visit the Largest and also Probably the Most Peaceful One Named Khong Island. We Will also Take the Boat to See the Surroundings from a Different Angle. We Spend the Night On the Island, Which Has Different Ranges of Housing.

Day 4 : Khong Island / Khone Island

After Breakfast, We Take Today Towards the Khone Island By Local Transport Which is the Boat. En Route We Will Stop At Several Islands to Discover Them Through Some Shorter Hikes. We Will Halt for the Night On the Khone Island.

Day 5 : Khone Island

Today, Trekk to See Deeply this Wonderful Island. We'll Include Up to the Magnificent Waterfall Liphi, Following a Path Strewn with Coconut Trees and Bamboo. You Will also Appreciate the Impressive Rapids of the River. We Sleep the Same Place as Before.

Day 6 : Khone Island / Det Island

Located Within the 4000 Islands in the South, the Det Island is a Peaceful Place Which Will Be Visited On Foot or By Bike. We Will Explore the Island By Alternating Walking and Cycling Tourism. This Island is Connected to Khone Island By a Former French Port.  Khone Island Has the Best Infrastructure for Hosting, So We'll Be Back There for the Night.

Day 7 : Det Island / Pakse

Back to Pakse with Many Stops Along the Way. Visit of Ethnics Villages. Visit of Pakse. Overnight in Pakse.

Day 8 : Pakse / Tad Fane

Part of the Program Today Will Include Hiking in the Protected Reserve of Dong Hua Sao. Here, the Jungle is Very Dense, Many Birds, Beautiful Butterflies and Many other Surprises You Will Discover Little By Little. The other Attraction are the Scope of this Reserve and the Waterfalls. We Will See the Famous Waterfall of Tad Fane, Flowing in the Middle of a Quite and Fascinating Nature .The Night Will Be Spend in a Inn in the Middle of the Park.

Day 9 : Tad Fane / Tad Lo / Pha Souam

We Continue Hiking with a Goal to Come to Pha Souam for the Night. Along the Way We Discover the Magnificent Waterfall Tad Lo, Which is One of the Most Beautiful of Laos.,    During Our Walk, We Shake Hands When Meet the Souay Minorities. We Can Visit Their Village and Learn Some of Their Fascinating Culture. Night At Pha Souam.

Day 10 : Pha Souam / Pakse

Today We Will Walk in the Beautiful Landscape of Park Pha Souam. We Follow the River Bed that Will Take Us to the Waterfall Were We Will Stop for a Picnic. Surely We Will Meet Several Minorities During Our Trek from the Katau, Alak and Nge Tribe. After this Beautiful Day in the Middle of this Lush Forest, We Return to Pakse for the Night.

Day 11 : Pakse / Vientiane

Go Back to Vientiane or Direct Flight from Pakse. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 12 : Vientiane

Vientiane, Capital of Laos Since 1975 Always Gives the Impression of a Colonial Town with Houses Dating Back to the French Colonial Era.,    Visit: Sisaket Museum, Built in 1824, the Only Monastery that Survived the Destruction of 1828, the Ho Prakeo, the that Luang, the Triumphal Arch of Patuxai, Markets (local, Central), Wat Saket, the Temple with Thousands of Miniature Buddha Statues and the Former Royal Temple of Wat Prakeo Which Previously Housed the Famous Emerald Buddha. Then Return Flight .
