A 5-day trekking experience in Pakse is best focused on the Bolaven Plateau , a region renowned for its stunning waterfalls, lush coffee plantations, and ethnic minority villages. While it's not a single continuous trail, you can combine guided multi-day treks with the popular Pakse Loop.

Day 1: Pakse - Bolaven Plateau Introduction ( L, D )

8:00 Am pick up from your hotel in Pakse and travel towards the Bolaven Plateau. Visit a family-run coffee plantation to learn about the process from bean to cup. See the impressive 120-meter twin chutes of  Tad Fane Waterfall from the viewpoint. Overnight in Tad Fane or Tad Lo Waterfall

Days 2-3 : Jungle Trekking ( B, L ,D )

Embark on a guided 2-day trek through the Xe Pien National Biodiversity Conservation Area or a similar area on the plateau. This usually involves hiking through primary rainforest, exploring hidden waterfalls and visiting remote of Alak, Katu and  other ethnic villages. Experience a village homestay or jungle camping as part of the guided tour.

Day 4: Si Phan Don (4,000 Islands) Exploration ( B , L , D )

Travel south from the plateau to the 4,000 Islands (Si Phan Don) region in the Mekong River. Explore the main islands like Don Khong or Don Det and visit the powerful Khone Phapheng and Li Phi waterfalls. Keep an eye out for the rare Irrawaddy dolphins.

Day 5: Ancient History back to Paske ( B , L )

Visit the pre-Angkorian ruins of  Vat Phou near Champasak, a UNESCO World Heritage site with origins in the 5th century. Return to Pakse for your departure ( your own accommodation ) End The Tour .
